The car's been running great and I'm finally getting to enjoy having it until I can turn it over to someone who has the money to invest in the neccessary body work.
I'd love to see it go to someone who'll make it into a real work of art like what one Koenigsegg engineer envisioned.
Here's how Leif Tuvesson of Caresto has restored an 1800es to make it a P1800 GT.

Jeff of Advanced Distributors did a fantastic job of rebuilding the distributor for me and getting it done quickly and at a fair price as well. I highly recommend him.
The car is running better than ever and I look forward to driving it daily until I can sell it.
And to cap off a great day I located a source on eBay for a Walnut Shift Knob reproduction.

I was able to find a good used Throttle Position Sensor from Howie Silverman in Massapequa, NY.
( A side note; Somebody replaced the TPS before with a similar sized one from Bosch but it was for a Mercedes-Benz so the numbers were all wrong!
Shame on whoever did that as a quick fix instead of pursuing the right part
.)
The idle is still high, but driveable, so it seems I need to get the distributor rebuilt. :-(

I've replaced one of the injectors and it's running strong now but the idle is too high and it's been determined that the Throttle Position Sensor is in need of replacement!
Unfortunately Volvo part # 461560 (Bosch # 0 280 120 015 > 0 280 120 039) is no longer available and I need to find a good used one.

I recently tried to sell this car on eBay, twice, with no real interest from anyone other than a newbie who won the last auction and then backed out because he failed to ask his questions before bidding instead of after winning.

Because the car was described as not running and in need of a tow I decided to get it running again, which it is now, and I've also replaced the broken kick down cable.

I'll continue to use the car and keep it running but it's in need of major body work due to rust related issues common to this model as described in numerous publications.

Besides typical rust there is a dent along the rear left quarter panel and it also needs a floor pan and chassis outriggers.

In the best of all possible worlds this car would need a frame off restoration.
